Structure and Function

The Multnomah County Deputy Sheriff's Association was formed in 1979 to represent the Law Enforcement Deputies in all criminal and administrative proceedings, as well as advocate for them during contract negotiations. Currently, the MCDSA represents approximately 120 Law Enforcement Deputies and Sergeants employed by the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.

The MCDSA consists of the general membership, three officers, and six executive board members who are all Deputies and Sergeants in good standing within our association.

Officers

Joshua Zwick

President

Josh grew up in Portland and attended Western Oregon University. While earning his degree in Criminal Justice he started his LE career as a reserve officer with the Monmouth Police Department.

Josh wanted to come back home to serve the community he grew up in and was hired by MCSO in 2004. Josh started on patrol and then moved into the Special Investigations Unit (SIU). After working in SIU for 13 years he was promoted to Sergeant and assigned to night shift patrol.

Josh currently works as a Sergeant in the Inspections Unit. Josh also serves his community as volunteer coach in multiple youth sports and teaches the kids the value of their attitude and effort.

Scott Shropshire

Vice President

Scott was born and raised in the Portland Metro area.  After attending college in Florida, Scott moved back to Oregon and pursued a career in Law Enforcement.  Scott started his Law Enforcement career with the City of Fairview.

Since joining the Sheriff's Office in 2017, he has had the pleasure of working in multiple assignments.  Scott is currently a Sergeant assigned to the Training Unit with the Sheriff's Office.

Cody Wolf

Secretary Treasurer

Cody is a Portland native with six years of service to the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office. Raised in the Portland Metropolitan area, Cody graduated from Southridge Highschool. From there he enrolled at Western Oregon University.

While in college, Cody worked part time at the Washington County Sheriff's Office. Upon graduating from WOU with a Criminal Justice Degree with a focus on Pre-law, Cody was hired by the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office as a Law Enforcement Deputy.

Initially on patrol, he now is assigned to the Transit Police Division and is a TSA-certified Explosive K9 detection handler. Together, Cody and his K9 partner Skubi, patrol the platforms and Max trains that connect Portland.

In his off-time, Cody enjoys spending time with his wife and baby daughter and taking in everything this great state offers.
